Plans & usage

Iterochat is built around a simple promise: no billing shock. Every plan includes a monthly pool of AI replies. If you run out, the AI hands off to your team by default rather than running up a surprise bill. This page explains how usage is measured, what each plan includes, and how to manage your subscription.

How usage is measured

Your plan includes a monthly pool of usage, measured in credits. Each AI reply to a customer draws a small amount from that pool. A longer or more involved answer, or a more capable AI model, uses a little more; a short one uses less.

Because usage is measured in credits rather than a flat per-message count, the reply numbers you see are estimates. A plan advertised at "about 2,500 replies a month" will get you roughly that many typical replies, more if your answers are short and simple, fewer if they are long and complex.

Your pool refills at the start of each billing period. Unused credits do not roll over.

Only replies generated by the AI use your pool. Messages your human agents send, customers' own messages, and reading or organizing conversations do not.

The plans

Iterochat has four plans. See the pricing section on our homepage for current prices and the included reply estimate for each, with a monthly or annual option (annual is billed yearly and works out cheaper).

  • Free. Get the AI answering on your site at no cost. One seat, knowledge-base answers with human handoff, the standard AI model, and a small "Powered by Iterochat" badge on the widget.
  • Pro. For growing teams doing real volume. More seats (and the option to add more), the powered-by badge removed, your choice of AI model, AI-only scheduling, and the data export and erasure tools. A free trial is available.
  • Business. Higher volume and bigger teams. Everything in Pro, more included seats, higher knowledge-base limits, and priority handling.
  • Enterprise. Custom volume, terms, and support. Get in touch from the pricing page.

Each paid plan includes a number of seats (the teammates you can add). If you need more than your plan includes, you can add extra seats for a small monthly amount. See Team and roles for how seats and roles work.

Free trial

You can try Pro free before committing. Start it from the pricing page or your dashboard. During the trial you get the Pro reply pool and Pro features. When the trial ends, you can subscribe to keep them, or your organization moves to the Free plan and its smaller pool. A trial is available once per organization.

When you are running low

As your pool gets used up, Iterochat warns you early so nothing comes as a surprise. The organization owner sees a banner in the dashboard as usage passes 80%, 90%, and 100% of the monthly pool, with a link to review your plan.

The same place also flags a couple of account situations worth your attention: a payment that did not go through (so you can update your card before service is affected) and a subscription set to end at the close of the current period.

When the pool runs out

This is the part that sets Iterochat apart. When your monthly pool is used up, the AI does not keep spending and bill you for it. Instead, by default:

  • In normal operation, new questions the AI would have answered are handed off to your human team instead, the same way an escalation works.
  • In AI-only mode, the AI sends the customer a brief message that your team will follow up, and the widget collects their email so you can reach back. It does not keep answering on an empty pool.

Either way, you are never billed for usage you did not deliberately opt into.

Capped overage (paid plans)

If you would rather the AI keep answering after the pool is used up, paid plans can turn on capped overage. You set a maximum extra amount you are willing to spend in a period, and the AI keeps serving past your pool up to that cap. Once the cap is reached, it falls back to the normal handoff behavior. This is entirely opt-in: leave it off and your spend is fixed at your plan price.

Managing your plan

Open Billing in your dashboard to see:

  • Your current plan and status.
  • A usage meter showing how much of your pool is left, with an estimate of the replies that remain.
  • The full plan grid, where you can upgrade, switch plans, or start a trial.

Upgrades and new subscriptions go through a secure checkout. To change your payment details, download invoices, switch between monthly and annual, or cancel, use the billing portal linked from the same page. Changes such as a downgrade or cancellation take effect at the end of your current period, so you keep what you have paid for until then.

Billing is managed by the organization owner. Admins and agents can use the product normally but do not see the billing controls.

Prices and included reply estimates shown today are introductory and may be adjusted before general availability. The live usage meter in your dashboard always reflects your real remaining balance.
